GIRL 03:20
'GIRL' Words & Music: Georgia Hoareau (Dec 2021) VERSE 1 I’ll be honest, it still hurts I talk to your mother and makes it worst Don’t get me wrong, I’m getting better But that don’t mean, I don’t remember When you held me As you fell asleep Like I was your missing piece For you to feel complete CHORUS Now I’m waiting for the day that you call Talk about how you miss it all Cause I remember when I was your world Oh look what you’ve done to me now Just tell me I miss you girl (Tell me I miss you girl) VERSE 2 I’ll be honest, I loved you And at some point, I chose you over myself I’ll never be that stupid again I hate that I still think of… When you held me As you fell asleep Like I was your missing piece For you to feel complete CHORUS Now I’m waiting for the day that you call Talk about how you miss it all Cause I remember when I was your world Oh look what you’ve done to me now Look what you’ve done to me now BRIDGE (Tell me I miss you girl) Oh, always at the bottom of your list Just someone to hold, someone to kiss And even if you say it’s not true It’s the way I felt with you The way I felt with you CHORUS Now I’m waiting for the day that you call Talk about how you miss it all Cause I remember when I was your world Oh look what you’ve done to me now Waiting for the day that you call Talk about how you miss it all Cause I remember when I was your world Oh look what you’ve done to me now

In The End 03:20
'In The End' Words & Music: Georgia Hoareau (Oct 2021) VERSE I know you feel guilty, about what you did I don’t blame you, I know we’re still kids And I wasn’t ready, but I guess you were My friends say you’re happy, back to the old you And I won’t believe it, but I know that it’s true Was it my fault, did I suppress you? If I knew it hurt this bad Oh I never would have loved you like that CHORUS When did we fall out of each other’s arms? I lost my grip in the end Why can’t I breathe, hospitalise me You never came to see me VERSE I wonder what would have happened if we lasted And you never needed space If I wasn’t over it, over you Always putting me in second place I could say it was hard for me But it must be hard for you When you realise letting me go Was the worst thing you could do CHORUS When did we fall out of each other’s arms? I lost my grip in the end Why can’t I breathe, hospitalise me Oh you never came to see me BRIDGE Back to the old you, back when I knew you When I could hold you, just like we use to Could we do it again, just as friends? Back to the old us, back when they told us That we weren’t perfect, but I didn’t care Cause I had you, yeah I used to had you INSTRUMENTAL Could we do it again? CHORUS When did we fall out of each other’s arms? I lost my grip in the end

Oh Well 03:30
'Oh Well' Words & Music: Georgia Hoareau (May 2022) VERSE I If someone told me a year ago That I’d be sitting in my bed on a Saturday night I’d think am I alright? If someone told me a year ago That I’d be listening to all the stranger's advice I need to get offline PRE-CHORUS I didn’t think it would be this weird But it all makes sense now that I’m here I didn’t think I could change this much But look at me I don’t care if you judge It happens to the best of us CHORUS So call the hotel of heartbreak They can have their room back I don’t wanna stay I’m well, can you tell You can’t tell, oh well Call off the search party and rescuers I don’t miss him anymore Let’s not make it worst I tried to be nice, but I’m sick of it I know too well you can’t commit to it So call the hotel of heartbreak Nobody comes here to stay I’m well, can you tell You can’t tell, oh well VERSE II I’m on my own now, I know that Nothing stays the same It’s all a rollercoaster Wish somebody told her PRE-CHORUS I didn’t think it would be this weird But it all makes sense now that I’m here I didn’t think I could change this much But look at me I don’t care if you judge It happens to the best of us   CHORUS So call the hotel of heartbreak They can have their room back I don’t wanna stay I’m well, can you tell You can’t tell, oh well Call off the search party and rescuers I don’t miss him anymore Let’s not make it worst I tried to be nice, but I’m sick of it I know too well you can’t commit to it So call the hotel of heartbreak Nobody comes here to stay I’m well, can you tell You can’t tell, oh well Oh well, oh well Ohh Ohh Ohh Ohh OUTRO I’m on my own now, I know that Nothing is the same, I can’t go back And that’s alright, I kind of feel alright

If I let go, let go of the way I felt How will I know, know If there’s someone else waiting there for me Will someone else show me The difference between two hearts? VERSE 3 We’re both burning our hair strange colours I guess we're both going through new phases All my friends still think that your reckless I guess nothing really changes CHORUS Two hearts <INSTRUMENTAL> OUTRO I’ll have to cope With the mystery That I’ll never know If love was meant for me

'Not The Real You' Words & Music: Georgia Hoareau (Aug 2020) VERSE It’s a trick, the person they all see The girl without a dream, the girl I pretend to be It’s a game, that many people play With a perfect poker face Hoping you fold before you can take the chips away PRE-CHORUS I’m further than I thought Too involved to get caught Don’t know why I’m trying to be somebody that I’m not CHORUS When salt looks like sugar It’s too damn good to be true Oh I’m not a fool I know it’s not the real you The real you, the real you VERSE Something fake, is destined to break And the rivers just a river, Don’t believe them when they’re drowning, and they need a hand And the many face God, yeah the writers got it wrong It’s not hard to be no one, when it’s everyone I know PRE-CHORUS I’m further than I thought Too involved to get caught Don’t know why I’m trying to be somebody that I’m not CHORUS When salt looks like sugar It’s too damn good to be true Oh, I’m not a fool I know it’s not the real you The real you, the real you Ohhhhhhh BRIDGE And it’s not hard to fake it So don’t bring me down, when I make it Out of this broken façade And it’s not hard to fake it (not hard) You can play the part, you can break it (break it) They all care too much OUTRO It’s not the real you (to fake it) It’s not the real you (when I make it) It’s not the real you (hard to make it) It’s not the real you (when I make it) It’s not the real you (to make it) It’s not the real you (when I make it) They all care too much, I care way too much

about

The debut EP 'Wish Somebody Told Her' from 19-year-old Australian 'bedroom pop' singer-songwriter Georgia Hoareau. It includes five self-penned songs written by the teenager over a period between 2020 and 2022.

Opening track 'GIRL' was released as the first EP single in Jun 22, followed by the surprise pop-rock-turn 'Oh Well' in Sept 22. Included here are three exciting new tracks; ‘In the End’, ‘4 Minutes Away’ and ‘Not The Real You’. The latter track ‘Not The Real You’ a gorgeously arranged piano ballad with strings played by award winning multi-instrumentalist Salliana Seven Campbell (Bernard Fanning, Kasey Chambers, Alex Lloyd, Katie Noonan)

“I wrote these songs between the ages of 16 and 18. They capture a range of events and emotions that occurred during that time of my life. Finishing school, finding love, losing love & finding myself again. This EP feels like a time capsule which I’m happy to release now” says Georgia.

Beautifully produced by respected Brisbane musician Joel Myles (Jack Bratt, Clint Boge, Harry J Hart) at Head Atlas Studios, the result is a stunningly honest collection of tracks from an artist who is only getting started!

‘WISH SOMEBODY TOLD HER’ is out Friday 10th Feb 2023 on limited edition 7-track CD (w/ download code) and on all streaming platforms!
