18-year-old Gold Coast artist releases a pop gem with her new single ‘GIRL’ out on 30-06-22

Teen singer-songwriter Georgia Hoareau brings us her third single release and the first taste of what’s to come from her eagerly anticipated debut EP.

The new track ‘GIRL’ opens with the reflective line “I’ll be honest, it still hurts”. Immediately it brings you in to the story and into the world of a girl navigating the post-breakup period. The song is about moving on from someone whilst still hoping that they haven’t moved on from you. A cry whilst dancing kind of song, where the lyrics tell the story, and the music provides an uplifting yet melancholy feel.

“I wrote this song a few months after my first relationship ended. It was all amicable, but the song is about moving on and getting over someone whilst still holding onto a little bit of hope.” says Georgia.

This new self-penned single displays another side of Georgia’s incredible songwriting and a further evolution of her vocal delivery. Influenced by meaningful songwriters, Georgia draws connections to artists like; Amy Winehouse, Gracie Abrams, Rex Orange County, Lizzy McAlpine, Lennon Stella, Phoebe Bridges & Missy Higgins.

Produced by respected Brisbane musician Joel Myles (Jack Bratt, Harry J Hart, Brooke Austen) at HeadAtlas Studios, the result is a super catchy pop tune which is sure to embed itself in your head for days and likely weeks to come. Currently in the studio, keep an eye out for Georgia’s debut EP due out later in the year!
